What is this plane and what will I do?

This is a Vashon Ranger Light Sport Airplane.  It is a lot of fun to fly!  It is designed for those just learning to fly and is easy to learn!  You will fly with one of our experienced and certified instructors and they can even let you take the controls if you want!

Can I learn to fly in this plane?

Yes!  It is designed for beginners and with safety in mind.The Ranger is easy to control and makes learning fun.  You can use it to  get a Light Sport Pilot License or use it all the way through your training to become a Private or Commercial Pilot.

If I am already a pilot and just want to rent this plane can I do that?

Yes!  See our Aircraft section for details.  The rate is just $159 per hour.

What is a Light Sport License?

Light Sport has two great advantages

- You can fly without an FAA Medical

- It cost less than half of traditional training to Private Pilot
